About This Event

Turn compassion into action

Awareness is powerful, but advocacy is what moves resources to the people who need them. This hands-on training equips volunteers, partners, and community members with the practical skills to advocate effectively for cancer patients and their families.

Led by our team and guest healthcare partners, the session covers what patients from underprivileged families actually face — from navigating treatment access to communicating with institutions — and gives you concrete tools to help, whether that's supporting one family or raising awareness across your whole community.

No prior experience is required. Every attendee leaves with a practical advocacy toolkit and a clearer sense of how to turn good intentions into real support.

What to Expect

  • An expert-led session on the patient journey and where families most often need support
  • Practical communication and advocacy skills you can use immediately
  • Small-group role-play exercises based on real scenarios
  • A take-home advocacy toolkit and resource guide
  • A certificate of participation for volunteers and partners
